Oversized Water Equipment and DDP Review
Clarify carton data, delivery assumptions and responsibility boundaries for bulky marine equipment.

Start with the packed cargo
Obtain dimensions, gross weight, package count and any pallet or crate plan before comparing delivery offers. A boat can be manageable in use yet difficult to move through a receiving doorway or deliver to a restricted-access site.
Clarify the named delivery place
Record the delivery term, its version and the exact named place. Ask who handles each stage, including unloading or special access arrangements. ICC guidance explains that delivery rules allocate tasks, costs and risks; a shorthand label is not a complete logistics plan.
Identify sensitive components early
Disclose motors, batteries, liquids, adhesives and other relevant items to the logistics provider. Their presence can change packaging, documentation and carrier acceptance. Do not assume a route quoted for an empty hull covers a powered package.
Verify the receiving handover
Ask about the final vehicle, appointment, unloading equipment and damage-recording process. This is a freight review workflow rather than a published shipment result. Confirm exclusions and responsibilities before payment or dispatch.
Detailed specifications & comparison tables
These tables retain published catalogue figures or questions to confirm with the supplier. Confirm the selected model, configuration and current supporting documents. The tables do not establish operating performance, rescue suitability or certification.
