Plan a Propulsion Sample Handover
A sample handover should create a reliable configuration record. It can support a purchasing decision without being described as independent certification or proof of performance in every condition.

Freeze the sample configuration
Record hull, motor, shaft variant, battery, charger, controls and software version where relevant. Photograph identifying labels and list accessories. If the sample differs from the proposed production order, state every difference before deciding what the sample can demonstrate.
Agree a safe observation scope
Have competent people define any assembly or functional observations using the manufacturer instructions and an appropriate setting. Do not improvise a dry-running procedure or endurance challenge. Note conditions and participants so later readers understand what was actually observed.
Keep results factual
Record controls explained, documents received and visible issues. Distinguish an observation from a supplier claim and from an unresolved question. A brief demonstration should not become an invented test report, certification statement or guaranteed production performance figure.
Translate approval into the order
List accepted components, required corrections and open items with owners. Confirm which manual revisions and accessories will accompany production units. Do not approve an undocumented substitution merely because the sample worked; maintain a written change record through packing and final handover.
Procurement checklist
- Record the full sample component configuration.
- Agree competent supervision and observation scope.
- Carry accepted details and open issues into the order.
Frequently asked questions
Does a successful demonstration certify the system?
No. It records observations under specific conditions and does not replace required conformity or operational review.
Can production use different components after sample approval?
Only after the buyer reviews and accepts the documented changes and their implications.
