Safety & Emergency

Prioritize Emergency Supply Deliveries

The most urgent item is the one required by the preparedness plan at the earliest usable date. A shipment arrival alone does not make equipment available for use.

Separate deadlines by function

Create distinct lines for household continuity supplies, property-protection products and trained-team equipment. Record the date each group is needed, not just one desired shipment date. Some items also need fitting, document review or familiarization after receipt.

Confirm receiving constraints

Provide delivery address, access hours, contact person and unloading limitations. Ask for carton dimensions and gross weights before agreeing transport. A large barrier or boat package may require different handling from consumables even when both appear on the same purchase order.

Evaluate split deliveries openly

Request a written proposal showing which items can ship together and which need separate handling or document review. Compare the additional cost and receiving workload. Do not assume a battery, medical item or oversized carton can follow the same transport route as ordinary goods.

Make substitutions reviewable

Define which changes require buyer approval and what evidence must accompany them. Similar appearance or a faster dispatch claim cannot establish suitability. RaftInflatable can coordinate sourcing enquiries and package information, while exact availability, delivery scope and accepted alternatives remain subject to written confirmation.

Procurement checklist

  • Record usable-by dates for each supply group.
  • Confirm receiving access and carton handling.
  • Approve split shipments and substitutions in writing.

Frequently asked questions

Is one consolidated delivery always preferable?

No. Timing, cargo restrictions and receiving capacity can make a reviewed split more practical.

Can an urgent item be replaced without review?

The responsible buyer should approve any change that affects specification, documents or intended use.
